Massage deal = Date night bliss
If my kids are awake, then it’s very, very difficult for me to relax. If I’m not already changing a diaper, making food, strapping someone in/out of a car seat or in the process of cleaning someone or something, then it’s just a matter of minutes and I will be. Add to that my son’s chronic illness and my husband’s job pressures, and you can see that there’s some tension here in Boogerland.
I decided it was time to counterbalance some of that tonight. I found a $39 special for a 1-hour massage at a nearby chain called Massage Envy. Even a couple’s massage for my husband and I, it was still just $39 a piece.
We got a babysitter, went out for dinner afterwards and ahhhhhhhhh relaxation. No more headache. No more back pain. No more kink in my neck. At least temporarily.
I have a feeling that’s a date night we’re bound to repeat!
